Dress-shoe logic: often ~1 size down from athletic sneakers.
Snug out of the box is normal.
Leather relaxes after break-in.
Wide / orthopedic
Wider toe box, orthotic footbed.
Good for swelling / plantar fascia discomfort.
Still whole sizes only.
Boots
Thick socks? Go up if between sizes.
Ankle should be snug, toes not cramped.
Check each product note.
Different uppers and lasts fit differently — always check the individual product's fit note before ordering.

How to Measure

  • Place a sheet of paper against a wall on a hard floor.
  • Stand naturally, heel against the wall, weight on the foot.
  • Mark the tip of the longest toe (big toe or second toe).
  • Measure wall → mark in cm; repeat for the other foot.
  • Use the larger foot to pick your size.
  • Wear the socks you'll actually use with the shoes.
  • Measure later in the day — feet swell slightly by evening.
  • Whole size only: if you're between sizes, size up.
Removable insoles mean you can add custom orthotics, but sizing should still be based on bare/socked foot length.
